We have been notified by GTT/MegaPath (GTT), the company that runs the data center we have colocated our equipment with for the last 14 1/2 years, that they will be permanently closing their data center, located in our office building in Costa Mesa, as of October 1, 2016.

We have toured numerous facilities in the Orange Country area and have selected a new facility for our equipment. This new facility owned by CenturyLink (CTL) and named OC2, is the highest rated multi-tenant facility in California and one of the top multi-tenant facilities in the nation.

Unfortunately we will have to bring down our equipment in order to move everything to the new data center. We plan to move everything on Saturday, August 20, 2016 starting at 7 AM Pacific Time. We estimate all services to be unavailable until Saturday evening, and while we fully expect to have all services back online at that time, it is possible some services could be impacted until Sunday, August 21, 2016.

If you are a dedicated server customer then we can schedule your move for a different date and time. Please contact us for availability at Support@AtlantisNet.com. We already have access to the new facility and are busy with the buildout. Dedicated customers may request to be moved as soon as Monday, August 15, 2016.

You will not have to do anything in order to prepare for this move unless you manage the DNS for your domain name(s). We manage DNS services for most of our customers and we will handle all the necessary changes. If you are unsure who manages the DNS for your domain(s) then feel free to contact us at Support@AtlantisNet.com. If you manage the DNS for your domain(s) then you will need to contact us for the new IP address(es) which will be assigned to your hosting. The move will require us to obtain new IP addresses which you will need to input into your DNS zone file before the move on Saturday, August 20th. We will also be reaching out separately to customers whom we know manage their own DNS records.

While this is surely an inconvenience your services will be greatly improved. The new data center is a 132,000 sq/ft, 12 MW, facility with complete electrical and mechanical systems redundancy and staffed 24×7 with security and administrative personnel as well as network engineers.

Feel free to contact us at Support@AtlantisNet.com if you have any questions or concerns.
