At approximately 9:15 AM PST we lost power to 8 servers hosted in our Costa Mesa facility. This power failure is localized to a specific power distribution unit located within a single rack at the facility and is not building or facility wide.

This post will be updated with the latest developments. Please check back here for updates.

UPDATE 10:25 – The power issue was caused by one or more failed air conditioners in the data center. This caused the power distribution unit to overheat and turn off. We have removed 2 servers from the unit and put them on a separate unit in order to help reduce the heat generated by the one unit. The data center is currently cooling down and air conditioner crews have already arrived at the building to resolve the issue.
